Combining 30 years of experience in the medical field and alternative health, Dr. Dong as served the Grand Strand area for over two decades. During this time, she has made it a priority to educate patients about their health and preventive care, while also treating them for their illnesses and problems.

Dr. Jin Li Dong graduated from the Capital Medical College in Beijing, China in 1983 where she practiced medicine as a specialist of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Dong attended post-graduate programs of acupuncture in the Traditional Chinese Medical College. After moving to the United States in 1987, she attended the Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic in Spartanburg, South Carolina. When Dr. Dong graduated from Sherman College in 1991, she practiced Chiropractic in Seattle, Washington. That same year, she became a diplomat of NCCAOM (acupuncture association). Dr. Dong has practiced in South Carolina since 1992, and has practiced on the Grand Strand since 1997. She currently has a successful practice in Chiropractic, Acupuncture, and Herbal medicine where she has constructed an innovative mix of health care methods that provides newfound healing in the ever-evolving search for health.

As her private practice flourished, she continued learning through diverse courses and seminars. As a result, Natural Healing Center can offer ozone injection therapy and IV therapies including: Ozone with UBI, high dose Vitamin C and Myers to name a few, herbal medicine, de-toxic therapy, live blood cells study, mild hyperbaric oxygenation therapy, applied kinesiology, physiotherapy, oxidative stress test, and chiropractic care, and acupuncture.

Dr. Jin Li Dong established Natural Healing Center in 2013 with the goal of helping patients make lifestyle changes i.e. eating right (organically), balancing nutrition intake and detoxification, along with spiritual consultation and meditation.  Our advanced healing center offers multiple electronic medical devices to your immune system, stimulate stem cells, kill unwanted microbes, improve circulation, increase energy level, and more.   Even after introducing so many new therapies to the region, Dr. Dong continues to learn and grow in the field.  With ongoing research into Lyme disease, shingles, mononucleosis, cancer, stroke, autism, and cerebral palsy, we recognize a priority to serve patients by means of natural alternatives for healing.

Laurie Boucino, RN

Dressing as Florence Nightingale at 5 years old, Laurie’s passion for health and wellness began at a very tender age. Following through with volunteering as a candy striper at 14, and working in a hospital while putting herself through nursing school, Laurie graduated and became an RN in 1991, currently holding licenses in multiple US states. She has a medical/surgical background as well as experience in dialysis, geriatrics, allergy, and even spent a short time in oncology, mixing and administering chemotherapy.

This was a good start she says, but she felt that nursing only sequestered her passion to care for people rather than satisfy it.

Married to a wonderful and supportive man, she has 2 beautiful children, each of them with special needs. Searching doctor after doctor to help enhance their qualities of life without any more than tiny successes, she found health care alternatives that not only acknowledged her children as whole beings rather than parts, but were also more effective. While researching, learning and practicing health care alternatives, Laurie then decided to include formal holistic education and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Everglades University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Alternative Medicine in 2011.

Always continuing to learn and to thrive, she has earned certifications as a Truly Heal Health Coach and an Applied Microscope and Nutrition Technologist. She also holds certifications as a Gluten Practitioner, Reiki Master, a Laughter Yoga Leader, and is a Peggy Huddleston’s Prepare for Surgery Heal Faster Workshop facilitator.

Laurie believes that every person’s soul and body are unique and that their health promotion program requires the same individuality.  She states “We are whole beings not just a ‘broken leg’, ‘metabolic disease’ or ‘cancer patient’ which should be addressed, treated and healed as such, with a program including physical, emotional, spiritual and psychological considerations,” which is what makes Laurie and the Natural Healing Center such a great fit!

Her goals are to help others explore why we are what we eat, what we think, and what we surround ourselves with. By enlightening others with information about alternative modalities and western medicine principles, she helps others to experience how even minor changes can make big differences in their own levels of health, the health and wellness of the human population and of the earth.

“Somehow we are conditioned to believe that good health is something that ‘happens’ to us rather than something we create”, she says, and she is eager to help you discover how much power YOU truly have in guiding your personal healthcare and wellness goals.
