Food for Thought

The other day, a man commented, “why eat healthy and bother with nutrition, so we can die early like all the vegetarians”?  The fact that he was a joker by nature, made his little comment somewhat funny, but there is a response to his joke.  Later, a doctor mentioned the fact of how man-made toxins such as pesticides, exhaust emissions, and other chemicals make it hard to maintain good health — even when we practice good, nutritional intake.  In response to both comments, after I have given it thought, it’s not just about a few of us eating healthy and taking care of our body’s while this cruel world continues to fight against us “and win”.  It is about developing a consciousness and walking in it.  It is a process that will eventually lead to us as a whole, walking in that consciousness.  When this consciousness has developed and moved through its threshold, (which we are now in, I believe), then will we begin rigorously removing those things (such as the toxins we create, that destroy our ability to heal naturally), from our ecosystem.  Thus, we will then experience a new, happier, “much longer” and true holistic way of living.  What do you think?
