According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as of 2010, cancer has been the second leading cause of death in the United States. What exactly is cancer? How do cancers form, what parts of our bodies does it affect, and can we live free of it?
Cancer is a term used for diseases in which abnormal cells uncontrollably divide and become able to invade other tissues in the body. As stated , cancer is not just one disease but many diseases. There are over 100 different types of cancers and are mostly named after the cell or organ in which they originate. Cancer types can also be grouped in broader categories such as:
All cancers originate in cells, our body’s basic building blocks for life. Normally, our cells grow and divide in a controlled way to produce more cells as they are needed to keep the body healthy i.e. when cells become old or damaged, they die and are replaced with new ones (National Cancer Institution, 2013).
Sometimes, this process goes wrong. The DNA of a cell can become damaged or changed, producing mutations that affect normal cell growth and division. When this happens, cells do not die when they should, and new cells form when the body does need them. The extra cells may then form as a mass of tissue called tumors (National Cancer Institution, 2013).
There are two types of tumors; benign or malignant.
In reference to an article by Bill Henderson, author of “Your Guide to Gentle Non-toxic Healing”, the answer to the question, “Can We Live Cancer Free”, is most definitely an absolute “YES”. Bill states that thousands of cancer-free people, including terminal cancer patients, are those who have been diagnosed with all types and stages of cancer. “Once we have agreed on a cause, reversing the cancer becomes easy .” Following a simple diet and supplement regimen for 6-8 weeks is all that is needed to begin reversing cancer (Henderson, 1998).
This supplemental diet then should be made and practiced as a new lifestyle. Making the transformation to a supplemental diet and lifestyle may seem a bit daunting to many, but professional coaching and guidance is available. The Natural Healing Center of Myrtle Beach staffs some of the most knowledgeable and passionate professionals in the field of alternative health. Cancer is indeed a top ranking cause of death in the United States and around the world, but this does not mean that all hope is lost for those diagnosed with the disease. Thousands have overcome cancer and are now living their lives cancer-free. A supplemental change in diet along with professional coaching and guidance can improve your chances of reversing the effects of cancer.
